Let me put it this way- it cost more to slab the coin at ANACS than the coin is worth. Lincoln OCs top out at about $10 but average $5-8 for dated examples with dateless ones a couple bucks less.

However, post-2000 errors are worth quite a bit more since they are considerably rarer. The US Mint has been using riddling machines for the past decade to weed out almost everything not the size of a normal coin. Couple that with the end of the old canvas face value bags(other than the current ones sold by the Mint for a steep premium) and the availability of 21st century errors is scarce.
