You don't need to push your game off a week and a half just for me If you did break it into 2 games, would you do one per weekend? It definitely sounds like fun. If more than 15-20 sign up to play, you might want to double check that so many rapid-fire posts during a small time frame isn't going to cause lag on the forum. I know they handle a LOT of posts, just not sure if they usually handle 20+ trying to post to the same topic every 1-2 minutes..

Quote: If you did break it into 2 games, would you do one per weekend? Yes, I can break it up into two games, one each week end. That will give me a week to come up with a second final answer. If it works out good, maybe add a third week. Now to find the right mixture of questions between the categories to make it somewhat even.

I'm available all weekend as well. Unless it's at 5AM RST (rikcando standard time). I have a tendency to sleep in.

Ok, I have modified the rules to suit just 3 categories. I have also adjusted the break time. This break is necessary for the host to regroup, double check the tally, and post the current scores.
Unless something else comes up I will be removing this thread tonight and posting an actual game thread. The game is to start on Saturday at approximately 1pm EST. Time may vary between now and that posting, but it looks good for now.
Still open to comments.

A couple of questions regarding the rules. Quote: 7. All players who post an incorrect response prior to a correct response being posted or prior to the timer running out will have their score reduced by that same denomination. So, let's say the very first person that responded is correct and 3 people respond AFTER that answer and are wrong. Do these players get hit with negative values even though the answer has been questioned correctly? And... Quote: Final Round - Just for the record, all scores below zero will be adjusted to zero so that no one owes me anything. Are you sure you want to do this? Sounds like a good way to add to YOUR collection!

No one would receive negative value. Once the correct answer is posted, all other answers to that question are ignored. Quote: Sounds like a good way to add to YOUR collection! Yeah, that is something to consider. Quote: a great way to learn more about our hobby I hope I made it interesting enough for that, but if nothing else, a good way to kill an hour on a Saturday.

I was just told I have an appointment to look at old family pictures at the start time. However I am trying to get a later start for the picture session. with 3 categories in two rounds, how long is that? Is that still 2 x 30 plus break

Is that still 2 x 30 plus break 6 categories with 6 answers each at the maximum of 2 minutes plus two 10 minute breaks, 10 minutes to wager and 2 minutes for the question will take 104 minutes. I will remove the break between the second round and use that as the wager time, making it a maximum of 94 minutes. I expect more than half of the question will not use the full two minutes to answer so we will likely cut that by half an hour or more. Posting time may lengthen it though. I will change it to 11am as long as no one else objects.

Sorry, I forgot I changed the break times. I'll need to redo that math, but you get the idea.
Please post any new comments to the new game thread.
