Just spent $600 at a local flea market. Not a bad deal in my opinion. I needed a few and was also able to upgrade a few. Will probably keep everything except the Roosevelts, in which I will wait until silver jumps a little then resell. 2 common AU to low MS Morgans ($30 each) 2 VF to EX Peace dollars ($25 each) 2 G+ Barber halves ($10 each) 3 Franklins (1 is a proof) ($10 each) 142 silver Roosevelts ($2 each) 62 Mercury dimes ($2.40 each) 3 Barber dimes (G, VG, F/VF) ($2.40 each)

Nice. Most flea markets I go to are asking twice that much!

That's a ridiculously good deal. You got at or below melt on most of it, and many would probably have some numismatic premium or at least sell for more. The Roosies would probably sell for $3 right now on ebay, much more once the price of silver goes up.

Nice haul, Thers is flea market I go toonce in a while when I visit my parents who live about 180 miles away. There are about 3 regular coin dealers withbooths there plus quite a few other merchants who also sell some coins. I cna usually get soem good deals there. Just wish I could get there more often.

I just traded 30 of the common mercs from this lot for 60 silver Roosevelts to local stamp dealer.

Nice going there. Our flea markets are now getting a bit to professional. Prices on coins as well as many other things are about the same as store except no sales taxes. One dealer at one of the near by flea markets thinks all his coins are the only ones on Earth. You really did good.

At this flea market there is a coin person set up with all high end stuff (3-legged buffalo, etc) but with a sign that says he is buying coins. This gets me thinking that he is just trying to get people to sell coins to him.
The person I bought the coins from was a collector and his kids don't want anything to do with it so he decided to sell while silver was up. Each time I would go in and buy up anywhere from $100 to $600 in silver from him and this was the last of it.
I have no idea what my stamp guy was thinking when he offered the 1:2 deal. I was originally going to ask for a 1:1.5 ratio but before I got that out he offered.
