What can we do to make the currency forum more "active"? I'm going to start posting some stuff soon, but I need to get some things organized. But for gods sake, I came here for the past four or five days and not one new post. Does anyone here even care about currency? Heck, I bought 10 new notes this week alone... Ty (pics soon to come)

Hey Ty, I'll post here to answer questions but I don't collect currency. Sorry, not my bag. I use to run a vending route and loved it for all the coins I found. Then one day I found a star note. Not knowing what it was I did a little research. Since I only was getting $1 in my machines that is pretty much what I read up on. Then I notice what some of these notes, stars, radars, webs, 295's, and so on, were selling for on ebay. That started my love affair with capitalism! So if this will tide you over, here you go:

Couple of things you need to do. first, take an image and size it down to under 100k. Cropping and resizing. Most of the pics you take with a camera will probably be larger than 500 easy. From there I would save it to your desktop in a new folder so that you can find it easily. start a topic, and select the "insert an image file" under the box you are writing in. Select "browse" to find your photo and click open. it will automatically load it to the thread you are typing. It will tell you if there was a problem loading it. You can also follow the guicelines above the thread you are creating for Uploading Images. I'm sure I'm missing something, but it's not too difficult.

Hi Folks! I don't look for Star notes but just for grins I looked through a stack of Singles that I had in a "piggy bank". I found one 2003 and one 2003A Series $1.00 Star notes in at least XF/AU condition. I also have two somewhat "gnarly" looking 1976 Series Two Dollar notes. If someone wants them, you are welcome to all of them. Just P.M. the address you want them sent to. First come, first served to anyone anyone reading this! Peace, "Uncle Mike

**************************************************** Actually, Ty I don't go out of my way to search for notes. However, if one should cross my path (star's, silver certificates and $2 bills) I keep them. Thanks anyway.

LOL, yes you can. Last summer I went to the big bank, the head quarters bank down town were the huge vault is, and got $1000 in crisp sequential $1 bills. I didn't find any stars or error notes, so all I kept were 100 of the birthday notes. They told me at the bank they usually only get new crisp bills during the holidays, so people can give clean money as gifts. You can almost always get new rolls at the bank. I always get an original wrapped roll of State Quarters for each new one that comes out. They usually have the new rolls there for a few weeks after they come out. Hope this helps, Ty
