Please forgive me Venom but I am stealing part of your idea and morphing it with my love for Fantasy Football.
We are going to play fantasy football survivor for the rest of the regular season. The first 12 people that post I'm in will get into the game. I will also take the next 5 for alternates that way if someone does give me a lineup the first week I will go to the next person on the list.
Ok here are the rules this might be long but I want to be clear. (If I miss anything pls chime in).
1. Each week each contestant will pick 1 qb, 2 rbs, 2 wrs, and 1 te. You can't use anyone twice. So you will have to pick 12 different qb's and te's and 24 different rb's and wr's.
2. Scores will be pretty standard for fantasy football 6 points for any td, 1 point for every 10 recieving yards or rushing yards, 1 point for every 25 yards passing. Minus 2 points for every lost fumble or int thrown. No bonuses.
3. All lineups will be sent to me through an email or pm. If the Lineups are posted in this section they will not be valid and you will have to reset your lineup and change at least one player. Lineups must be in my email box by 12 Midnight Eastern every Saturday so I can post everyone's lineup Sunday Morning before the 1 pm games. This rule will change to 12 Noon Thrusday's once the Thrusday games come into play around Thanksgiving. Everyone in the contest will also get one I forgot. Where you were busy and thought about setting your lineup Sunday morning before the games start, you can also use this once the Thrusday games start, but you will not be able to use any players from the Thrusday Night games.
4. Each week the lowest score of the teams that survived the week before will be eliminated. So you don't have to score the most points each week you just can't score the least. Also the team with the highest score each week will win the weekly prize of a silver dime. I will mail all these out at the end to save on shipping in case you win more than one. So even if you get knocked out in the first round keep setting that lineup so you can try to win the weekly prize.
5. There are two grand prizes; The first one is to the survivor that is never the lowest score at the end of week 17. This person will get a silver eagle (I am not sure which year yet). Also the total points champion will get a
Morgan dollar (I am also not sure which year or grade yet). However, one person can't win both grand prizes so the other grand prize would go to the person that was eliminated in week 17 of the NFL season.
6. Each week on Tuesday I will post the results and list all the players that were used by each team and who won the weekly prize.
I know this seems like alot of work so I have tried bump up the prizes accordingly. I love Football and fantasy football too. (some say an unnatural love) So this is not too much work for me, and I would enjoy doing it. There could be a couple of weeks were I might be out of town, and not be able to post lineups till later than Sunday and I do apologize. In these cases it will be ok to post your own lineup after 1 pm eastern on Sunday, just be sure it matches what you sent me. If it is different your lineup you posted will not be your actual lineup.
IF we don't get 12 people with lineups set by Midnight on Saturday than I will put the contest off till next week with 11 teams and try again, if we don't get enough people on the second try than I will think of a difference contest and try something else at a later date. By the way I encourage you to do your own TD's dances if you win weekly prizes, get a monster day from a players or narrowly escape defeat just keep it friendly! I am about to go to dinner with my folks and wife so if I missed anything I will amend it when I get home tonight.
