I bought this coin recently.
It seems to me that there is over strike for 'FR'. Also the letter '2' in '20G' also underwent significant correction.
I could not find any overstrike version over 'FR' in 1875 Go.
Any thoughts, suggestions and comments are appreciated.

The modifications you point out are fairly typical of 8 Reales in general. There may have been modifications to the hub or the individual die but both are common.

The dies in this case are not worn and I see no evidence of a damaging clash - so a repair is less likely than an initial re-cut of the original die.
