The grade is AG - the rims are incomplete and some of the letters are incomplete as a result of wear. In addition and more critically the portrait (specifically the nose) is worn to the field level. In addition the digs in the surface of the portrait tend to hold the grade below G-4. The price is absolutely subjective. If you were buying the coin for an immediate resale at a profit it may be impossible. Report this Post to the Staff
realeswatcher Pillar of the Community United States 1962 Posts	Posted 10/14/2011 6:56 pm Given that it's clearly an old piece... you'd actually be better off if it WAS counterfeit. Genuine piece... low grade but looks like nice, honest tone. You could do better for that price, but you could do worse. The earlier 1770's years of the series tend to bring a teeny bit more than the 1780's dates. Lots of Mex 2R out there... be patient, and you'll find a solid piece at a nice price.
