I see what you mean, but I'm not sure. The image was clearly made with a scanner, which can make coins look weird.

I don't like the color. Something looks off.

The scan is not picking up the relief or it's flatly struck. It's a $100+ coin with a return priviledge and PayPal protection.
Worth a shot if it goes cheap.

Yeah, could be the scan. That's why I don't like scans.

They look ok to me, just all very evenly toned. Could potentially indicate a dipping, or at worst recoloring, but I can't conclude any of that from the photos.

I don't think that's the scan...the field look too clean, probably due to photo-editing. That's why the coin has this "plastic" fabric...all the nicks including some flow lines have been erased.

7 bids and 4 days left. This one will probably continue on an upward price. Might end up not being worth what it goes for at this rate.

Yeah...looking again, I'm almost positive you won't win the coin as pictured.

is it me or do the 8's look like they are way to big?

Now that you mention it...I see that too, odd. It could be lighting or a later die state..the 8s tend to "balloon" out over the life of the die.
