I know it's not excitingly-old, but it was old enough for me to save and notice the steps on this guy. Same coin, two slightly different angles... What do you think?

Most of the recent Jefferson nickels are commonly found with excellent step details. Offhand I am not sure what dates the design was again slightly modified to allow better details to show on the reverse when the coins are struck. I would guess it was sometime in the mid 1990's until present that full steps are not unusual.
Now finding a nickel with no contact marks can be quite the challenge. So if you are looking for full step nickels in recent dates, look for the best quality you can find.
