This is an 1820 George III death Medal....The seller I bought it from claims that there are less than 10 known examples of this medal (BHM-995)....Is anyone here familiar with this ? Also as you can see there is a large blemish on the reverse near the word King..You really cant see it in the pic, but,it looks like a crack and the metal is separating?
Any Opinions?

A BHM rating of RRRR can mean less than 10, but this is not a fixed number.
Also AFAIK, Kettle made counters in brass and medallions in tin. The flaking or separation on this piece worries me, as I've not encountered it before.
I'll just sit and wait for the real pros to chime in.

Thanks for the reply....Im wondering if the damage on the reverse could be from poor metal quality or a minting error
