I have no reason to doubt the authenticity based on these images and the weight. The Trebonianus Gallus seems to be in excellent shape with great detail especially on the obverse. I would place the value of this coin between $75 and $125. Probably on the upper end of this. The Tacitus is more worn, but not in bad shape for a Tacitus coin. The detail on the obverse again is better than the reverse. The value of this coin between $35 and $60 and probably in dead center of these amounts.

These are my guesses on the value. I like both coins. Good pick up.

The Trebonianus Gallus is beautiful, it has quality and lots and lots of character. The Tacitus is OK too but not in the same league as the Gallas, nice find

I see no reason to doubt the authenticity of either coin and as the Gallus looks so good I think £85 would be on the high side but OK for these coins.

You know, the bottom line here is that you feel you got a fair deal. How well do you know this dealer? Do you have or have you ever had any reason to question his character or honesty? And does he guarantee these two coins as genuine? I said I thought the two were genuine based on the images, but it is totally impossible to be 100% sure without them in hand. I think the price you paid, if genuine, is very good from my perspective. You did well my friend.

ok thanks a lot to all,for your answer, about the seller I know him enought well and I think he's a serious person,he know very well roman coins expecially recognize a fake.the fact is that in my experience is always a good thing have some doubts with ancient coins even if things seems to be all right so is better ask for more opinions.
as the saying goes many of the same opinions are a certainty.
