Lately there has been a few upset members because topics have been moved to the correct forum.
Topics must be placed in the correct forum. Sometimes its difficult to pick one, do your best, noone will get mad.
You may temporarily put a link to a topic in your signature if you feel it needs more exposure. This way it will show in all of your posts, even old ones.
We will not let this forum turn haphazard because a few individuals like to post their topics in the wrong forum deliberately because they think they will get more exposure.
This forum is the success it is because of the rules and the great members we have that for the most part follow them.
We thank you for your continued support.

I don't think any reasonable person could even think of challenging this statemet. But having said that, might it just be possible for the individual that is having a topic moved to the correct forum, be advised of where it is being moved. Quite often it is the shock of not finding something that is the most upsettling, nore than the fact that it got moved. Being told where it will be moved could alleviate a lot of hard feelings on this subject. IMO

Hmmmmm. Yes, that is necessary. The forum software is supposed to automatically do that. Is it not?

It's going to become pretty important, down the line when the forum has grown, for the membership to actively help take care of itself. That takes a tremendous load off the moderators, and we need to be ready to be a part of it.
My best suggestion, in order to help the idea of keeping threads where they belong become more workable, is to make the General Discussion forum part of your daily routine here. If this community continues to grow at a steady pace, the day will come when General Discussion is the largest forum.

I have a question: doesn't really matter to me but just courious:
I put a topic about Mushroom Error coins on the Main coin forum (which is really the only forum I ever go to).
Everyone Seemed to love to coins and I KnoW many of you would never have seen them in the error Coin section which is where I Knew they belonged.
I think the Admin DiD a perfect job with this post....they let it run for two days on the main coin forum and THEN moved it to the Error Coin Forum...just PERFECT IMO. Thanks ADMIN!!!
I guess my question is where do I put say a post about Mickey Mouse ERROR COINS? A few weeks from now I may or not post something like that...... if I put it in the error section so many Will never See such cool coins...what a shame.
I think the ADMIN did a Perfect job on my Mushroom Post...is that how it should work?
pS I did Not get an email

Agree with NancyC, Active Topics is an excellent way to see all postings in all topics since your last log in, or ones that come up while you are logged on, for that matter...I almost always start there.

This incident was handled very well and noone should have any complaints. On other message boards I see threads moved on a regular basis to the proper forums. It keeps everything organized and un-cluttered. quote: A place for everything and everything in its place!

Thanks Bobby & Co. you do a great job. I have received e-mails when my topics have been moved, no great drama. If you use the Active Topics button, you will get to see all the new posts, if you are interested in error coins or whatever then you can look, if not then you can skip them. It's a simple as that, let's not complicate this issue. Like Bobby has said before, put more precise info in the heading of the post and you may attract more people to view it. Just my worth.
