I am going through our collection and this is by far the best '32 we have. Please let me know what grade all of you think. Is this high enough where it is worth grading as well? These are the best pictures I could do, Thanks.

I see a couple of significant gouges on the obverse, notably in Washington's jaw and cheek area and some nicks elsewhere. This coupled with the unattractive spotting on the back will probably keep the coin from grading much higher than MS-62 or MS-63. PCGS site seems to be down right now, but a quick scan of ebay shows no one bidding on an AU-58, and an MS-64 sitting around with no bites listing at $125. If it looks absolutely fantastic in person then that's another matter.

CC, thanks. The mark on the bottom the jaw is much less evident than on the picture looking through a 10x loupe. I also tried increasing the contrast to get the detail. It's going in our collection and I looked on ebay as well. Since we haven't had any coins graded yet, I want to start setting aside ones that everyone here think are worth grading. I'm working on a Wash. set (92-98) and didn't know just stick in the Dansco or grade and encase it.

I know how you feel. I have six or seven 1940s Washington quarters that I'm positive will grade out at MS-66 or 67. Some have beautiful toning from years in my Dansco Album. When I get my shipment of coins together to send to PCGS, I'll let you know how they turn out!

CC, I'm so clueless I don't even know what to send in to get graded. The 32d and s I have are probably f12,maybe. I'll post pictures of these later. I need quite a few addtional higher grades I guess I'll just look at ebay, but we've never bought anything that way.

i also got a lot of silver washingtons.

I think your 32 washington is a fantastic coin. It is at least MS60. As for grading, I never have gotten coins graded either. It seems too expensive unless the coins are worth 800 or more.

If you need certain years, mintmarks, or errors of washingtons I might be able to help you out. I have at least 20 of each kind of washington (minus 32d 32s and some of the rarer errors)

Chris, Thank you. I've been collecting a while and it seems everyone is saying how I should start getting some graded. If you have other washingtons I would like to upgrade on some of the grades in different years. I'm not sure how to contact you once I go through what I'm interested in. I'm new to CCF and don't know about PMs. You can email me off my info also. I have 30 or so rolls of washingtons but of course not all are great grades. Thanks, Your writing of not grading unless over $800 gives me an idea of what to look for when we do send them in.
