I got a couple of orders at once yesterday. One of the orders that has been showing different potential shipping dates all came together--well, sort of!
Anyone dealing with the mint knows they send you an e-mail for each shipment with the tracking number and contents. Fair enough. I got two boxes for one order, shipped the same day. Now, any moron knows FEDEX has a different tracking number for EACH parcel. How else could they track it?
Soooo, there are 15
ASE W UNCs, 2 GOld 4-coin sets and my 5
ASE 20th Anniversary sets. BUT, I got one e-mail. No e-mail for the second box.
The issue is I want to grade the 20th
ASE's, but not the rest. Simple enough? Call the mint and ask what is in what box.
After telling them that I never got an e-mail for the other tracking number, she proceeds to tell me that BOTH boxes have the same tracking number!! Of course she could not explain how they could find the other box if only one showed up and showed delivered.
So, I proceeded to read the other tracking number to her. I was told she didn't have access to tracking numbers.
Realizing that I was dealing with a total MORON that didn't have a clue about shipping, I said goodbye.
The solution I found was to call PCGS and NGC and explain the dilemna. PCGS told me to send it all, tell them what to grade, then they would ship the whole thing back when done.
NGC, had a better solution. They will pull the Anniversary sets for grading and IMMEDIATELY ship the other stuff back at my expense.
BTW-NGC told me 3-4 weeks for 20th
ASE sets.
