As I build up my collection of older coins pre-1900, I have always looked forward to putting away some Carson City minted coins, don't have any yet. I know the CC mintmark brings up thoughts of the old west for many collectors, and from what I have seen as far as prices, they hold their value well and gain over time because of the interest in the CC mintmark itself. For someone looking to acquire their first CC coins, is there a particular denomination that has done better than the others, or are they all about equal in that respect. I'm thinking of grades Fine through EF specifically, any higher grade gets too pricey for my budget. What do you think? If anyone would like to post pictures of their CC's, that would be great too, love looking at that mintmark. Thanks.
