This question is specifically directed to BadThad, but everyone who has used the product may feel free to answer. I have a 1857 FE with just one ugly spot of verdigris and I hate it. The coin is the only one in the entire FE/IHC with any problems and it punches me in the face whenever I look at it.

The coin in question has a strong obverse and the reverse (pictured) is ok too...I think it's a good VF-30. The rest of the set, which is about 75% complete is all full liberty XF/AU and the other FEs are problem free Vfs.

I need to know if I can help this coin. The verdigris looks worse and greener in hand than in the pics. Sorry for taking pics with the coin in the album and the plastic slide over it.

I'm no pro but what about trying acetone first? Just wondering, don't use it till BadThad chimes in.

I don't see any verdigris, try more light and zooming in on the area in question.

That said, if it's there, it wouldn't hurt to try. I'd just put a tiny drop on that area, let it sit for 5 minutes, work it with a toothpick and dab off. That would be the first step.
