Would like opinions, don't even know what questions to ask. I never knew there was a 2 cent piece (thought it was Canadian). Is there value? What is their grade?
TIA..

the silver dollar is worth around $30 - common date but close to uncirculated, look like somebody cleaned it off. The second coin is from the Austrian Empire (2 cents), no idea what it's worth.

There were US 2 and 3 cent coins in the 1800's. The 2 cent coins were minted from 1864 to 1873, the first 3 cent silvers were minted 1851 to 1873 and the 3 cent nickels (which were the first nickel coins) were minted from 1965 to 1889.

These are my favorites because there are so many differences due to the size and composition - you can get clashes, doubling and other neat things in them. We have a good thread going at https://goccf.com/t/99629.

And to the forum!

Yeah, I'm not sure about that Morgan. I thought I was being paranoid but that date just looks funny to me. The '88's I've seen, the bottom of the 8's are in a nice continuous arc - in this one, the the middle 8 is a bit high.

Could just be me being silly.

If it's real and it's made of silver, it's worth about its weight in silver which is today about $30, as mdh said. It's been harshly cleaned, which is something one should never do to a coin if they're looking to preserve it's numismatic value. The best way to check if it's genuine is to weigh it. It should weigh almost 27 grams.

The second is an Austrian 2 Pfenning, worth $5 or $10 to somebody that collects older foreign coins specifically, less to somebody who doesn't. It's unlikely that it's not genuine.
