I've never seen these go for more than 100 bucks, what would have prompted this one to hit $160?

Someone with 26 feedbacks won it so a "newbie" bid up on it.
I love how newbie's think that the value in a coin catalogue is the price to be paying.
I usually go if the price is 150, you got to try for half price ;)

Not to give away all my tricks. But often I look on the UK version of ebay and quite often you do see these - listed only on UK site and not AUS, anyways - I've seen quite a lot selling for around 65AUD -

The 2007 Berlin Money Fair $1 has been my big international find. They catalogue at $95, I got one for 4 bucks from UK! To be honest, he was selling it just as a Brisbane, which helped it too, but I'll take it either way ;)

- I usually like to think that you should go for 60% of book value Australian coin. But I guess depends whats hot or not!

Yes, same CoinManTim, although I haven't been as regular lately, I quite often trawl through ebay.com and ebay.com and have often found sort after items below what they go for on ebay.com.au. Have occasionally looked at other ebay sites but never had much luck apart from UK and US.
