Hi, found this on ebay today.
Seems a bit odd for an error coin as the planchet dose not look like the 12 sided dodecagonal that we know as a 50c piece.
Looks more like a 7 sided coin.
Well what do you guys think.

It looks like a British 50p planchet, probably about the same size too.
Which makes sense because according to my Macca's guide it was minted in Wales.

I have never seen one, or seen a report of this error. Difficult to price. Should be interesting to see how this one performs on ebay.

Personally, I would have preferred to see this one go to public auction, where some sort of professional opinion would have been included in it's auction description.

I am not going to bid on this coin personally, but if I did, my limit (with a bit more knowledge) would be around $200, but I don't know enough about this one.
