Hi, I am new to this site and was wondering if someone could help me with my quarter. I found a quarter which seems to be fine from both sides but the center is not "sealed". It is obviously separated. Please let me know what I have if anything and possible value.

Thanks.

Also again, please note that the metals that make up the quarter are visible. Not the standard copper lining. Even though the quarter is not "joined" from the two sides
I am unable to pull it apart. It is an error, but to what extent I do not know. Thanks again.

Looks like a possible acid dipped coin to me. Wait for the pros.

Welcome to the forum! I agree. Acid eats away the copper core faster than the outer clad layers. It looks like you coin has taken a bath in an acidic solution at some point in it's past. So unfortunately it is not an error but is just PMD (Post Mint Damage).
