Hi Everyone,

I was hoping you can inform me what this paper is called and where I may be able to obtain it?

I have looked all over the net and went to multiple banks (in Ontario and Quebec) but nothing turned up.

I used to get these from Royal Bank up until a couple of years ago, and I love them!

I think they are cool in that the circumference of the coin will specify what the roll contains for all coins. In addition, the fact that they are flat means they take up no space, as opposed to those rolls you find at the dollar store, which leaves me with no quarter rolls but 5 nickel rolls at the end.

I really wish they would bring these back, as I am sure they are more ecologically friendly (only paper, no glue) and they are so unique and distinctly Canadian!

I thought I would ask you guys because I'm sure you all use lots of coin rollers when rerolling change.

Thanks for any and all help!

Best

I have gotten them before from Bank of Montreal and CIBC. So maybe your RBC branch doesn't carry them anymore but another branch might. Or you can always try another bank as well. I haven't gotten any recently so not sure if they still use them or not either.

Thanks for your replies!

Do you happen to know what they are called? Do you think anyone sells them online?

Our local credit unions give out the paper tubes free of charge. They used to use the flat paper with the little holes in them so when you rolled the coins the right amount appeared, but they got rid of those a while ago.

I actually purchased mine on ebay, since I too could not find them locally. When they shipped, they drop-shipped from Walmart (of all places!) and the box had a description of flat kraft paper coin wrappers--- so googling a phrase like kraft paper coin rolls or wrappers would probably be a good place to start.

They seem to be sold in a box of 1000, so you might want to get a few friends together.

Also I don't know if they have this store in Canada but we have a store called Smart and Final, I've seen them in there before. Not routinely but sometimes.
