Hi can someone tell me if there are 1 Balboa coins that are NOT silver and NOT proofs with the profile portrait of Vasco Nunez obverse? I have searched and searched and only find silvers or proofs. Can't find info on this subject either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As far as I'm aware, the Franklin Mint produced some special uncirculated (prooflike) and matte finish 1 Balboas in Copper-Nickel clad copper between 1975-1982 with the Vasco Nunez obverse. They are scarcer than the silver proofs.

There were none struck for circulation, but the Franklin Mint struck "matte-finish" and "uncirculated" cupronickel-clad balboas between 1975 and 1982. However, these have the three-quarters-facing bust, not the side view bust. WCG page.

Oh ok, these would be another I'm not interested in. What I should have asked is are there any copper nickel clad 1 balboas with the traditional image for years after the silver issues. Sorry for the confusion.it seems they changed the obverse after they quit making silver balboas for circulation?
