I noticed a little something on one of my Peace dollars that can't really be attributed to normal circulation marks. See if you can tell what I mean.

It sure looks like a clash to me, but I don't know Peace dollars well enough to say for sure. Maybe a ray from the reverse?

I thought clashed die also,but I just can't get the angles of the rays to match up with the straight up mark from the "D"

Yeah, that spot on the reverse is almost blank. And it's raised up, not concave. I don't know if that helps at all.

If you have not already,you might want to go over the entire coin and see if anything else jumps out at you. Whats the year of mint on the coin?

hmmm... die clash looks the most likely from my meagre experience in errors and varieties.

There is a 1923 with a chin bar caused by a die gouge. Would need the date and a complete picture of the coin to be sure.
