I recently came across 22 rolls of 1959 and before Jefferson nickels and a $50 box (not the $25 of today) of cents that I rolled in my younger years prior to 1982. I am fixin' to sort through them just to see what I pulled Jefferson's and Lincoln's from circulation back in the late 70's early 80's, and I of course will share the results. These have not seen the light of day since I was in junior high.

have fun rediscoverinng your coins. I went trough a lot of coins, again after finding this forum. several of my better finds have been in my own hoarded/stored coins - in my case from the 60's - 80's. in any case - have fun rediscovering them.

Please share your results. A population study would be interesting.

Update: The box of cents was not full, only 65 rolls. The two white capped plastic rolls contain a solid roll of UNC 1982-D Large Date Copper, and a BU Roll of 1982-D Small Date Zinc.

My wife took my nickel rolls on a road trip...I hope that it was not to the bank!

I sure wish I did that when I was a kid. Imagine if I did and now opened rolls from back in the 40's and 50's.

very cool. I have been putting away date rolls of nicer looking lincolns for the future. Pretty cool for you to have these and look at the coins you grabbed at about the age I was when I started collecting 3 years ago.
I can't wait until I'm older and can look back at my accomplishments in the hobby
