I think I should get a holder for my coins I see lots of people have dasco albums and I've just kept mine in plastic or cardboard flips. nice coins by the way. In 2005 I was getting rolls of warnickels for under $20 and these where pulled from the rolls. They where all in this condition.

thanks and yeah they are pretty much the only ones I buy. I keep the older nonsilver jeffersons that I find in circulation.

Those are both nice sets. I love War Nickels. They are probably my favorite coin amongst those still available (albeit scarcely) in circulation. I really like the mint mark above Monticello and although the ones in my Dansco are blast white BUs, I really like the even greyish tone VFs and XFs take on. 35% silver seems to be a minting success when combined with copper (and I suppose the small amount of manganese)

There are many who think that War Nickels are the true meaning of "junk silver", but personally I really like them. They do take on a nice gray color after all the years of circulation, and to me they even feel differently than the regular Jefferson's, heavier I guess. Back awhile ago I was getting nickel rolls and searching them for silver and better dates, and it was always thrilling to get a War Nickel, even though it didn't happen as frequently as I would have liked.

Quote: ok so the scans didnt turn out so well No worries ... although your scans present some difficulty for us to view the coins ... we appreciate your enthusiasm for the set! These are my favorite nickels as well ... and I am thrilled every time I pull one from a circulation roll. You gotta love the look and feel of them ... and that huge MM on the reverse never fails to please my eye. I'm currently working on a MS set of these ... hoping to share some photos as well someday. There are a few coin types that I have neglected and this is one of them. I got these at the melt value I think I was paying $16-20 per circ. roll at the time.

great job on completing this set. Mine are circulated and dark in color. They rest in my dansco album and were the first coin that really got me crazy into Jefferson nickelsthe first set I tried to complete from circulation was the Jefferson nickels and finding one of these always made my day
