I'm only seeing a 1943. I'm not seeing the 2 you are talking about.

There's a little dot just above the lower line on the 3. When I checked the RedBook, it looks very similar.

could be a die crack, if I remember right the overdate is shifted more to the left...

Generally on the '43/2, you have a doubling at the top of the "1" in the date.
