Hello All, I just picked up a 1992 Silver Proof Set. $27
The Cent has a clear Space in between the A&M. I thought the proof dies for this year were close A M. I'll post a pic once I get back from, taking son to Doc's. Thanks....
but I'll have my phone on me checking in.lol

1992 proof should be Wide AM according to the Lincoln Cent resources.

All 1992 cents should have a Wide AM with near initials.

The Close AM is the extremely rare variety for that year.

Thanks, I was going off the Cherry Pickers Guide Pg158 "The nomral business-strike reverse for the 1992 cents has the AM of AMERICA with a clear space between the letters. However, this 1992-D cent was struck with the Proof reverse for that year, which has the AM of AMERICA very close, almost touching."
When I read this I thought I had something, The picture shows a Close AM almost touching. So are their 1992 proof cents with Close AM as well. Or is that just business strikes, struck with proof dies that were Close AM. Not used on actual proofs. EDBEBEB EBEBEEBBEE lol

There is no known close-AM for the 1992 proof cents. All 1992 proof cents known to date are Wide AM.

close A M on 1992 are only on just business strikes,
they used 1993 reverse for testing on just a few 1992 business strikes.
