I got this twoonie in change yesterday and it looked pretty good. After looking closer it has very funny wear or weak strike on the obverse top left. What would cause just this area to wear so bad?

I will forward this link to "THE" Twoonie dude for input.
Is there distortion present of the fields betweem/above/below the apparent weak/missing digits? I would expect to see some if it were simply a strike through issue. That said, it may be difficult to distinguish on a circulated coin. Thanks for sharing. :-)

There seems to be no other distortion on the coin other than weak digits it is a very nice looking coin
