How do you determine if a PCGS coin is real? I bought one recently off ebay and the verification number and everything was correct with PCGS's certification verifier tool. The coin looks pretty legit up close.

User had 100% positive feedback.

Got a great deal for it. Was originally $240 and paid only $180.

Moved by Forum Mom from Auction forum to Third Party Grading ( TPG) forum and fixed title to be more descriptive.

Not too many collectors buy key dates without seeing the mintmark first... Just saying...

The mint mark looks right. As long as the holder wasn't tampered with you should be fine. You could always ask the seller how they came upon the coin. $200 is expensive- but it's not a big dollar coin where I'd be too concerned.

My first 32-S looked like this before I upgraded it.

I'm sure it's fine. The $180 price is a retail market correct price for a '32-S in VF20. $240 was too high.
