Curiously, it bears a number "12079" at the bottom of the image on the left. Or is it 1279?.

Hi I think its qajar coins .
image on the right-writing not clear except for the word (AlSultan).
image on the left -(darb dar aldawlah)struck year (AH 1279 /AD 1862)i cant read word on the top maybe (shaher kard)iranian city

Thank you mass): You have done a wonderful job! There is a "Ba" inside the "De" of Kard which remains a mystery for me. Anyway I am happy to know that this coin is from Iran. I had a search on the catalogue. Image on the right clearly resembles Kran coins during the rule of Nasir ud din shah. Though I could not find Shahr Kard among mints in the catalogue, you must be right about that also. Now I am in the right direction. Thanks a lot.
