I haven't been able to locate a RIC number for this Valentinian.

DN VALENTINIANVS PF AVG: GLORIA ROMANORVM, TES (Thessalonica mint),V in left field, and * over Gamma in right field.

Just very quick research and it looks something like Thessalonica RIC 26a_mule:

Valentinian I, Thessalonica, AE3, D N VALENTINIANVS P F AVG, pearl diademed, draped & cuirassed bust right / GLORIA RO-MANORVM, emperor in military dress advancing right, holding labarum & dragging captive behind him, Z in left field, star over Gamma in right field, mintmark TES

Its not an exact match as yours has a V in the left field as opposed to the Z above. Give me a little more time.

Found it:

RIC 16a.38 (Thessalonica), LRBC 1803 AE3 Obv: DNVALENTINIANVSPFAVG - Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: GLORIAROMANORVM/ V to left/* over (shop letter)/TES - Valentinian I advancing right, dragging captive and holding labarum. 367-375

I just had to look at the right resource first.

Haven't found the V in left field yet, but ran across this. Kinda interesting.
