1962 P Franklin Half Doubled Die Reverse / DDR ?

chubbs New Member United States 23 Posts	Posted 11/03/2011 5:02 pm This is my first post but I have been using coin community for a while as a reference guide and I just wanted to thank all of you for the feedback and expertise you provide so that someone like me can learn more about the minting and error process. I was looking through a roll of 1962 Frankling half dollars and I think I may have found what I believe to be a doubled die of the E Pluribus Unum. There are about 12 coins from the roll that I think have this but some are weaker and some are stronger. I have been having a hard time taking pictures so I added a couple digital microscope pictures to hopefully make it easier. I have not been able to find any information on this variety if indeed it is a doubled die. Any information, opinions, or comments at all would be greatly appreciated! Here are a few more that I tried to take with a magnifier. They are a little shaky but I think they show some better detail than the other pictures. Report this Post to the Staff

Also interesting is the lack of a response! I THINK there is just enough of a question to keep most people from answering. It would take a better photo for me to make a firm decision.
