In truth I don't even know what this thread title means! This coin is at least 500 years and 2000 miles away from where I'm most comfortable.


I've had it for years (came in a small uncleaned lot) and made very slow progress in IDing it since then.

Having posted it on a few different sites and spending a lot of time trawling the web I came up with the title attribution - other examples here:

I think the text is [A]NTIOXEΩN / TΩN above, [EN]ΠTOΛEM[AI�"I] below

Although I think I'm pretty much there with the attribution can anyone else confirm it for me as I cant seem to find an exact match anywhere for it. Also can anyone tell me anything about these coins or the issuer?
