I've been searching for a nice original AU+ example of this date and variety for several years now... finally brought one home today. 1804 Half Eagle PCGS AU-55 OGH & CAC Large "18" over Small "18" variety, the result of an over-eager mint engraver who began stamping the date logo for the Eagle into the Half Eagle die, then realized the blunder and restamped the Half Eagle date logo over the digits. Interesting overdate in my opinion. ET

I updated my Seated quarter. I had an 1891 in G/VG details (cleaned) which I sold along with some junk silver and cull nickels. And then I bought this 1877 in VF! I'm happy.

Spectacular Morgans @streg2. I'm trying to find what held the '84-O back from a gold bean.
