"Dateless" V nickel for $5. Looks to be 1899 or something, might grade PO-01!

PO01 only have value if you can read or prove the date...

Dateless, it's just a cull

If you read the story about the "End of the Trail" collection of PO01 Morgans shown last year at ANA, it took two years to prove one of the coins from die markers...

Nice CC Morgan, Ralph! The toning/wear looks almost like desert camouflage. Interesting.

dave700x/rahtbarg.....thanks guys.

dave700x - I've got the VAM catalog/encyclopedia, but I've just not gotten into the VAM collecting end of the Morgan dollars yet.....just been putting them together and having fun.

rahtbarg - its a scan, and scans just don't do justice to coins (doesn't hurt to know what you're doing either ) - always look better in hand. As for the desert camo...seen pics of it, but never had occasion to wear it.....different kind of camo in Vietnam back in the sixties.

My mouth ACTUALLY dropped open when I saw that SLQ. That is not a Standing Liberty quarter, that is a screaming liberty quarter! It is crazy worthy.

I had this one on lay away so I could buy a few Bust Halves at the local show. I know this dealer sets up at the show, and didn't think it would make it back to his shop, so I had him hold it for me.........
