Other recent pick-ups... 1878-S Long Nock Morgan for junk silver price... A cheap (reverse rim issues, but still pretty) Tidy House 1885-O Morgan... A PCGS AU58 (and very original) 1877-S Trade dollar... And my "new favorite coin", an 1800 Bust Dollar for which I made a custom background in Photoshop... I need to add a pattern to my collection but there are so many and they are all so very expensive. I am so impressed with them not as valuable collector items, but as stand alone objects that tell a story in gold or silver. This is a hobby that will never die as long as such gorgeous things exist. terry8835 Pillar of the Community United States 1450 Posts	Posted 07/03/2016 2:43 pm That 1899 looks like DMPL from photo. That must have set you back. I notice the coins has a low mintage and wonder why 1895-0, 95-S, and 93-0 which have higher mintage cost so much more in all conditions , especially in higher grades? What is the low down on this fact? Every picture and coin tells a story. Very nice coin, by the way. Report this Post to the Staff

Terry: From what I understand (or have heard) these were saved from the day they were minted because of the low mintage, so a lot of MS specimens exist. At least that's what I've heard.
