@oih82w8, the PGCS photo service is called TrueView. It is $20 a pop at the time of encapsulation, and one of their selling points is that they image the coins outside of the plastic. I have never paid for a TrueView image, but I have purchased a few coins which have been historically imaged as part of their service. I personally prefer to take my own coin images -- I don't have this one in hand yet, but it should be here on Tuesday of this coming week.

to add what BRG said, NGC is doing something like that themselves as well. Usually its cheaper to buy a coin from someone who also has a true view and or the new NGC photo vision

The scratch on the obverse is on the slab. I think the wear and scratches on the reverse kept the grade (and price) down, as the obverse looks a lot better than AG3 IMHO. In any case I like it!   |

Two days ago I traded an unused bow and arrow (not the one I use, one from 1995, valued $30-50) for a 2007 W early release NGC MS-69 ASE... And also found a 1961 quarter (in really great shape) in change I got back from a store. Not bad huh? I'm new to the site so I'm not quite sure how to post pics, I also use my iPhone for Internet so I don't know if that matters? |

nice looking coin I have several friends in Alabama, and have thought about getting some of these as gifts. Just haven't decided how many to buy and who gets them.  |
