dixiworld, there were no liberty Seated dollars with arrows issued by the US mint. Your piece is not genuine and by the looks may even have rust on it. |

Hi. My son found this on the pavement, next to a digging team in a garden (Southampton, UK).
It was rusty as hell, I cleaned it. Thank you anyway.

Southampton was where Americans would arrive in the UK in the days of ocean travel. Might this be a contemporary counterfeit, with a history of its own? Especially if it ended up in the ground?

Not the greatest example, but I've always wanted a Barber coin, so I'm very happy to add it to my small turn of the century collection. Perhaps next will be a Morgan dollar!  |
