I have this Chinese coin labelled " 1119-1125 AD" among my late father's collection. The four Chinese characters on the obverse read Xuan He Tong Bao (top to bottom right to left). A search on the websites shows that such coins were cast in the later part of the Northern Song Dyanasty during the reign of Emperor Hi Tsung.
The coin weighs 3.83g and measures 24mm in diameter. I am not sure of the material whether it is cast iron or copper. In terms of rarity, it is believed that there are not many such genuine coins.
With so many fakes in the coins market place I do not know whether this one is genuine or a fake. With the details given I hope it can be identified. Thank you in advance for your help.
