This may be the wrong place to post this, I apologize if it is.

But I have a silver dime that appears to be disfigured and I think left the mint this way.

The date is 1961.

Would anybody know what it is worth?

That's what's called a Dryer Coin...it's spent a good amount of time in a dyer or other place where it rolled and rolled for a LONG time. It deforms the edge like that.

Nice coin!

As was said, it's not a mint error.

But hey, any silver is good silver.

Thanks you guys, about 10 years ago I bought 300 of these dimes, I don't remember what the price was per ounce but I bought them off a tv show and I paid I think 7 dollars over spot at the time (a guy who owns a coin shop told me I got ripped off) but now the value of them has more than doubled what I paid. So I'm happy, thanks again!
