Hi everybody here's an AE 3 of Julian apostate, not in good condition,I can't understand the mint, maybe cyzicus or rome...ont the overse we read DN CL IVL....as in the rome mint. Rome RIC 315 Julian II AE3. D N CL IVLIANVS N C, bare-headed, cuirassed bust right / FEL TEMP-REPARATIO, helmeted soldier spearing a fallen horseman who is wearing a Phrygian helmet, reaching backwards, R-dot-M-dot-P in ex.
but is also similar to this Cyzicus RIC 116 Julian II, as Caesar, AE3 17mm. 335-360 AD. DN FL CL IVLI-ANVS NOB CS, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust right / FEL TEMP-REPARATIO, Soldier standing left, right knee raised, spearing fallen horseman who is wearing a Phrygian helmet, reaching backwards. dot-M-dot in left field, SMK delta off flan in ex. RIC VIII Cyzicus 116; cf Sear 4063. Edited by giano 11/09/2011 03:27 am
