Ummm? => US 1934 $100 VF example ... what is it worth?

sorry, I don't have a "States" catalogue, but I kinda thought having a $100 US bill from the 1930's sounded kinda cool ...

Umm, again I'm not sure what I'm doing, but it looks as if the catalogue numer is "F2152G" ... does that make sense, or is that merely an auction number?

thanks

Seems like I recently checked and a VG or F was in the $116 range...?

The Friedberg number is 2152 for a 1934 $100 Chicago note or commonly written as F-2152G.

Value as always depends mostly on grade so no determination of that can be made without some type of determining factor like a scan of the note.

I have the latest, hot-off-the-presses copy of "standard guide to small-size paper money."

Assuming it is a Chicago note, and assuming it is in VF condition as stated, it is 115-120, unless it is either a star note or a mule note in which case it lists at 200. OR if it is both a mule and a star it is $1000.

I think you should post a photo.

Thanks for responding, but sorry, I don't have a photo of it ... but sadly, I have already bid $150 on the note (ooops => yes stupidly, I already made this bid "before" I started this thread) ... I was a wee bit drunk when I made the bid (as you can sort of tell if you re-read the initial opening thread) ... anyway ...

=> lesson learned => oh well, an old $100 note from 1934 for a mere $150 still sounds okay to me!?

thanks again

I ended-up paying $111 for this VF note (I think I did well) ... oh, but yes => throw-in another 18% for auction fees and taxes (but still approx $130 ... not bad)
