Ok, think I'm going to make the move to secure this key... Want to find something from a F-12 to a VF-30... I'm finding prices from 4800 - 6000... I found a very nice toned example in a VF-30, PCGS graded... Asking $4895... Other option is a decent PCGS G-6 that is around $2200... I of course want to get a "deal", was curious if any of you had any opinions of exactly what a "deal" would be... Thanks!

my theory is to buy the highest graded/best eye appeal coin you can afford at the time. The higher graded coins will always be worth more than the lower graded ones and they are usually the ones sought after more often so their prices usually climb faster than their lower graded counterparts. I would suggest looking at the numbers to see which one has the highest population also. If there have been 100 graded G-6 and only 2 has been graded VF-30 then the VF-30 would be worth more in relation to the G-6 because there are more G-6's to go around

I agree with Bryan1315 and the $4895 price for a nice VF30 is a good deal in my book.

This is the king of all Morgans, if you can afford the PCGS VF30 and like the way it looks...I'd do it.

PS: Would love to see some pics.

I really like the toning on this one, and the detail seems very good.... What do you guys think?

I think the grade is accurate, but to me, the dark marks on the obverse are a bit distracting. I think you can probably find one in the same grade without that distraction for about the same money.

I agree with the above posters Bryan and 1964. I don't think you'll be able to find a "deal". Look around some until you find what looks good to you.
