If it's not an overdate, maybe it's just some other kind of die clashing going on. There's no recognized overdate outside the 1858/7.

Something's going on here, though.

I don't see anything, except for the PMD on the curl of the 5

Me too, not seeing anything like an overdate or RPD.

I'm seeing perhaps a faint loop inside the 8, but not an overdate either.

I think I see the loop on the inner part of the lower loop of the 8 but could be a shadow artifact from the lighting, making this a possible RPD but not an overdate.

I'm not sure if these features are normal...

I don't think the 5 is PMD, I would say lamination peel.

The inside of the 8 is interesting.

Whether it is MD, not sure. But there is SOMETHING going on there.
