Poll Question
Something occured to me, thought I'd make a poll out of it.
Do you have a "pocket piece"? That is, a collectable coin that you keep in your pocket because you like it and aren't too worried about damaging it etc.

I used to keep an Eisenhower dollar on me all the time, but I do not currently have a pocket piece.

I really don't think it's silly but I would probably lose it and I like to "travel light".

Yes I have a 1924 Peace dollar in a key chain. I always show it to people when they show interest in my coin collecting.

I don't carry a real pocket piece per say, but I always carry a $2 bill with me and I will either spend it at a place that someone might seem interested in (flea market, etc.) or sometimes just leave it as a tip to throw a waiter/waitress off.

I always have a packet piece of one sort or another, normally something like an Ike that I can drop into a donation bucket and put a smile on the face of the kid holding it.

I have a 1921 Morgan dollar, an 1846, Medium Date, Coronet Head Cent and a 2011 Olympic Quarter, in a US Mint Coin Holder, on my keychain. I bought the Morgan years ago with a hole at the top and put it on my keychain. The cent has been holed and counter stamped "C. Orth" and has been in the family for maybe 50 years. I won the Quarter and Mint Holder on CCF. I like having them where they can see the light of day, not melted for the value, tossed in an old box until it's lost or thrown out or just another 25 cents going from store to store. It also lets people see that I'm a collector.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

I have carried an 1885o Morgan dollar in my pocket since 1997. It is fun to hear the comments of the younger cashiers in various stores that have never seen anything like it. And it stays nice and shiney.

I had a quarter sized silver coing from Turkey in my pocket for a while...but now I'm favoring a 1941 Canandian quarter with a neat die-break.

I was born in 1961 and have lived in Canada for over 45 years. I collect Canadian coins, so about 10 years ago I obtained a low grade 1961 Canadian silver dollar and drilled a hole in the top portion and slid it into my key ring. Makes a nice talk piece for non-collectors and it's the only year that reads the date right side up or upside down as 1961. Glenn

I carry a Canadian silver 1955 quarter in my wallet for a lucky piece when I go to the casino. I use it to touch the spin button for luck, boy I should try something else because it sure doesn't work
