Die chip , it's common.

Is it an error? Yes. The die used to strike the coin got chipped, thus creating a raised lump on the coin surface.

Does it add value? Not necessarily. Die chips are extremely common errors, and this one is not very prominent, so probably not.

Die chips are a breakdown of the die. I wouldn't call them an error. Just wrinkles in the life of a die.

Just because it isn't really valuable doesn't mean I would toss it back, though. It is still an interesting find (probably somewhat unique).
