Finished up a box of dimes tonight. Not much to report. Nothing old but did pull 2 silvers. First is a 1964 (80%) and the second is a 67 (mackerel). Better then nothing. I did keep a few half decent 70's. Recycling the rest.

Moving on to the next box.

Happy CRH all.

When through 4 rolls of dimes and found two or three with the
larger 1969. Not sure where to go from here. Can anyone help?

***Edit for spelling***

Yes...Pictures Please!

Considering that there are...if I remember correctly...less then 20 known examples on record. I would say your next stop is to buy lotto tickets. If you found one in a roll...that would be a once in a lifetime thing. To find several at any one time would be unfathomable.

Here is an example of the 2 different dates.

The top date is the large date (Very Rare) & the bottom date is the common small date. Notice how the bottom of the 9 has a noticeable upward hook to it in the large date.

Hello SHAFTA9a. I'm the OP and he was just commenting in the post about his 3 x 1969 Large dates that he found in a roll and wanted to know what to do next. Maybe the poster rechecked after I posted the pics of the dates for them to verify and discovered they had made a mistake.

Ahh well. Mistakes happen and we all make them. I would love to find a single 69 Large let alone 3.

Yes, cladhunter13, of course you where the original poster, I didn't look.

Yeah, I have searched many rolls of dimes too, always looking for the large date 1969, I'll bet that there are some still out there waiting to be found.

Well...I have been lucky enough to pull 2 x 1964 XWL nickels while roll searching since I started in Oct 2009. The 69 Large is the major find for me in dimes. Still on my wish list. Also on my wish list is the 2000P. I will find them one day. I just hope I do not have to wait 30 years to do so.
