The '53 cent (unfortunately not the SF variety) below shows the double hanging 3. There are a couple of other things on the coin that I'm curious about.
Firstly, on the obverse, just below the Queen's chin, is a small depression and a short, raised line to the right of it, running at about 45 degrees. Secondly, on the reverse, there is a line running from just north of the midpoint of the top of the 5, diagonally down towards the 3. Could this line be associated in any way with the depression and line on the obverse? Die clashes are difficult for me to decipher. Also, there is some indication of slight doubling of both the 5 and 3.
Your help would be appreciated!
