I was hoping I could get a little feedback from those that have been following prices. I have 2 sets, sealed in the mint box I would like to sell. What are the average prices on ebay? I have thought about selling them on here but would like to get around, maybe a little less, the same price I could get on the bay, minus the fees. Really I guess I am just asking what a reasonable asking price for these sets are from those who have been following prices or who have already moved theirs.

Joker.....I have two Sets sealed in the box too. But I'm wanting to keep one....and sell one, because these are the only two Sets I have. Don't know if I should send em' out for grading now.....or keep em' & open em'....... and then sell one raw. But I do HAVE to sell one to try and make up some money. (the wife insists... ) I'm sure if I told the wife I could clear $900.00 for selling BOTH of them....she'd want me to do that ! .... Man ! ..... I just don't know WHAT to do......

From what I've seen lately, opened sets seem to be selling for around $700-800. Sealed sets are selling for actually about the same (sealed boxes of 5 sets, for example, have been selling for $3500-4500, which works out to $700-900 per set.
If you really want to maximize your profit, however, it looks like the best way to go is to send them in for grading yourself and then sell the graded sets. I've seen MS69 sets sell for $1250+ and MS70 sets sell for close to $2000. No guarantee that your sets would actually grade that high, of course, but the odds seem to be high that you'd at least get MS69, which would more than pay for the cost of grading.

In my opinion and everyone has 1, I believe that opened sets have peaked. They were averaging $800 but seem to be down to $750 now. The unopened are very close to peaking if they have not already. Just my Observation

LTMets44 was that the Clifton show? Were they moving at that price?
Was thinking of attempting to do the same at the next Parsippany show.
Wondering how the two shows compare. Though that's off topic.

Snapper - Yes it was the Clifton show. I saw him sell one. Not sure about the rest. The Clifton show is pretty good. The have probably as much forgein coins as US coins. The Parsippany show is a lot bigger. Nicer collections for sale. I think you'll do good there. Maybe I'll run into you. I go there every month. The next one is Dec 4th.
