I was so happy to buy the Crispus coin, I neglected to post that I bought another coin along with the Crispus from the same dealer. It is a Gordian III minted at Hadrianopoli, Thrace. This is a milestone for me as it is the first coin I have from this location. I was not looking at Roman Provential coinage for the longest time, but I find now that I am very attracted to many of the styles.

This one I have attributed it as an AE26, Moushmov 2715:

OBV: AVT K M ANT GORDIANOC AVG, laureate, draped bust right
REV: ADRIANOPOLEITWN, Zeus-Serapis seated, holding patera and long spear; sometimes below - eagle.
8.38g, 25mm

Just like the Crispus, I got this at a very good price.

Those holes look like it may have suffered from and been treated for BD at some point in the past.
Interesting coin.

Nice coin JW and a bit of a co-incidence, I bought this a few days ago on impulse, something I very rarely do. Maybe it was after looking at a few threads on here!

It is also Gordian III and can also be considered provincial coming from Viminacium.

Its not my first coin from this mint - I had an Aemilian that I had to sell when I was short on cash but this is currently my only coin from there apart from a very, very battered Philip coin, its also my first Gordian III. I've always liked the design and bulk of these coins so I might try to get one from each of the 15 years the mint was open.

I picked this coin up for about £13 - to be honest not being an expert on either the mint or the Emperor I dont know if this was good, bad or indifferent. I think it was pretty good for that price.

I've not had a chance to fully ID it yet but intend to soon so please dont do it for me

For those who don't know anything about this mint the two animals on the reverse are a bull and a lion, these represent the symbols of Legions IIII and VII. These were stationed in Moesia Superior at that time in Viminacium and Singidunum.

I won't because you asked, but as you can see, I have one very very similar. I got mine in an uncleaned lot and was very pleasantly surprised when it cleaned up this nice:

P.S. I also love the symbolism of the Lion and the Bull. This is the kind of information that makes collecting these coins so interesting and fun.
